I teach learning through understanding rather than fact memorization

I have taught over a dozen quarters of organic chemistry lab at the University of Washington during the course of my graduate education. I also have eight years of experience doing top-level research chemistry in some of the finest institutions.

Most of my experience is in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry, but also inorganic synthesis: working on a project to store hydrogen for the hydrogen car. I have published work in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
