He used a combination of writing out examples for diatonic and chromatic scales, as well as using a computer program to visually show how to transpose between C Major and any other major scale. He was friendly and courteous. He was patient with me when I didn't quite understand it and was willing to try and explain it a different way to help me grasp concepts, and then he helped me run through writing out several major scales to make sure I'd fully grasped the concept.
