Her high energy teaching style always challenges and keeps me coming back everyday wanting to complete these challenges. At the end of each class we briefly discuss how the day went and she allows me to give my two sense and even changes the class around my suggestions providing a customized learning plan based off me. I can tell I am understanding the language much better. Before this class my tones were terrible and any native speaker would never be able to converse with me but since the start of the class my tones have greatly improved.

She comes super prepared with lesson plans and spends a good amount of time reviewing the previous lesson before going on to the next. She lends us Chinese DVDs and recorders so the girls can practice their chanting. Mei-June uses great software and keeps the lessons engaging and fun. My 8 year old enjoys doing her Chinese homework on the computer with the interactive software. My girls thinks she's great and we are quite pleased with their progress! Mei-June also provides comprehensive feedback each week by email and is always available to speak by phone as well.

Ms. L. is experienced in teaching Mandarin to Americans which shows in her approach and methodology. She has introduced me to different approaches and study aides, allowing me to experiment and choose those which give me results. She prepares for our sessions, patiently listens to my progress or not, and gives instruction that fits the need of the lesson at hand. Ms. L. is respectful and conscientious. I am confident that I am advancing to my goal with her guidance through teaching and knowledge of Mandarin.

Sam P. from Bethesda, MD Mei-June is a really great teacher who is enthusiastic and excited about teaching you Mandarin. Her lessons include role playing typical conversational situations that help you be ready for a 'real' encounter with a Mandarin speaking person. She also leads you to a variety of online resources that make independent study and homework much easier and she will provide you with feedback on work you send her between lessons. She seems very experienced and although I am a beginner I think she would likely do very well with an advanced student as well. I can't say enough about how pleased I am about my lessons!
