My sister and I both needed help, and she said she'd normally charge us for two people, but since we're both students, she only charged us for one to help us out. In an hour, she was able to help us both re-write the papers totally. She helped me with time (like, past, present, future), and she taught my sister ways to check her spelling even if she doesn't have a dictionary or computer with her. On top of that, she gave us a formula to write essays. It's really clever and is definitely going to help me. Overall, she was really patient and personal. Other tutors I've had didn't take so much time to understand the issue I was having, let alone teach me so much in just an hour. And she helped my sister too. Really great teacher.

I have a lot of trouble keeping people interested in my presentations, which makes me nervous partway through, and I get agitated, etc. It goes down hill very quickly. First, she listened to my presentation, then helped me work on it. She divided easy things to fix instantly and habits that needed changing. One thing we worked on was modulation, which means adjusting the volume of your voice, changing the pace you speak at, and varying your pitch. We talked over what I wanted to convey and emphasize, and changed the modulation accordingly. I noticed that she really listens to me when I speak. She and I marked the presentation with a reminder system that works for me, that will help me when I give the presentation (like underlining things I want to put more emphasis on, etc.). She gave me one good tip for helping my poise, too: "Poise is what you do with your hands." I'm going to remember that when I'm nervous or agitated. We also improved the conclusion to my presentation. I'd recommend her to any professionals looking for help with public speaking. She's very personable, easy to work with, and she does everything she can to make sure you understand. She's also very cheerful!
