To our good fortune, we identified Janet G., and following a phone screen, interview and meeting with our son, we hired Janet. Within the first week, Janet created an assessment plan and was very engaged in understanding our son's strengths, weaknesses, likes, and where he struggles. Janet discussed various approaches and learning techniques with us, laid out her plan and then quickly became well acquainted with our son. After the very first lesson, our son invited Janet to be a "special guest" at his next birthday party. Testimony to her easy spirit and wonderful demeanor! Janet has been working diligently with our son several times a week since, and has been greatly successful in getting him to ?re-learn? the basics and gain confidence to persevere though the more challenging skills. Our son has gained a tremendous amount of self esteem as he has now begun to read on his own!
