I love to teach English as a second language. I came to this country many years ago, fluent in four languages, including English. I think that it would have been very difficult for me to integrate into the American professional and academic worlds without a good knowledge of English. Therefore, I have great empathy for those who wish to learn the language, who want to communicate and connect in English, in the same way that they speak their first language.
