Testimonials
Ann N. from New York, NY Louay is very knowledgeable and willing to work with you to find the best approach to meet your needs and interests. He's patient and genuinely interested in helping you learn, and can prepare personalized materials and lesson plans to help you reach your goals. He's also flexible and on time. Overall, I was very satisfied with my tutoring experience with Louay and would recommend him to others.
Marc M. from New York, NY I needed an editor to proofread and comment on two assignments required for my graduate program. Louay was a terrific choice. In addition to his helpful and precise comments, he returned sufficient work in less than 24 hours. Since I was working on a tight schedule, Louay's quick return of the edits gave me sufficient time to work on them. Additionally, his knowledge of film was exceptionally helpful for the two exercises. I highly recommend Louay for the most difficult of tasks in undergraduate/graduate writing or any assignment pertaining to film studies.
Nicole S. from New York, NY I honestly only have good things to say about Louay and definitely recommend him as an Arabic tutor. He's not only a native speaker and have an incredible knowledge of the history of the language, he is also very good at teaching it, which is hard to come by (I speak from experience). He's a very patient instructor, but was also understanding when I would have to cancel due to work commitments. He was also very open to focusing on vocabulary that was more relevant to my work (which is why I am taking Arabic) and tailoring the lessons to be relevant to my interests. I am a beginner but I think he would be good at teaching any level of Arabic.
Ilona M. from New York, NY Louay was selected as an Arabic tutor for a 17 y.o. girl after 5 other candidates were interviewed and had a trial class. He was absolutely amazing in comparison and on his own. The task that was set for Louay included reading and writing in Arabic but most importantly - conversational Arabic. He did great with all three fields! He is always on time, always prepared, has a positive attitude and flawless work ethic. Louay also has a great approach to students, he manages to make lessons interesting and engaging, and the progress is visible! I would recommend Louay without hesitation to anyone in search of a quality tutor with excellent teaching record and reliability.
Erin W. from Brooklyn, NY Each week when I arrive at my lesson with Louay, he is prepared to tackle my goals. He has a deep understanding of the history of the Arabic language, the MENA region, and the challenges of learning a difficult language. He translates this knowledge into accessible methods of teaching and makes the lessons fun. Having worked with Louay for only a few months, I have learned tons about the Levant and the local dialect which previous formal classroom instruction had neglected in lieu of Modern Standard Arabic. Louay took the time to understand my personal language goals and how I plan on using Arabic and each week develops lessons to reach those goals. I look forward to my lessons and am very glad that Louay is my Arabic coach.
JC D. from New York, NY What I wanted was a lesson on how the Arabic language works as well as some tips on good books/learning materials. I got all that, plus a review of how Arabic traveled through the middle east and Africa (hence the wide differences the dialects) and also the alphabet, which is a killer, but Louay made as easy to learn as possible. He is smart, patient, and a very nice guy I think he would be a huge help for anyone learning Arabic. For me he is especially helpful as I am going to Saudi Arabia and needed help with the gulf dialect, which he also speaks.
Oleg G. from New York, NY I asked Louay to help me brainstorm and develop ideas for my film class' essay, and he did an unbelievable job. He prepared very thoroughly for the session, re-watching both of the films I wanted to discuss and writing down a summary of ideas, his own thoughts and things that might become handy for me when I start writing the essay. Louay, obviously, has a wealth of knowledge, when it comes to Film studies, but the best part is that he can communicate this knowledge in a very pleasant manner. Needless to say, he is a teacher, who takes student's goals very seriously and does his best to help achieve them. I strongly recommend Louay if you are looking for a professional and highly competent tutor.
Julia M. from New York, NY In addition to being a great tutor, I hope he will keep helping me and others learning Arabic. My Arabic keeps getting better and trust me I had started to loose faith. Louay is always on time and reachable through the phone, very organized with his method, he is also patient and really cares about us getting the most out of the lesson! I highly recommend you Louay as a tutor. He is speaks perfect french, beautiful English and Arabic!
Omar B. from New York, NY I have been tutored in Arabic by Louay for several weeks now, and I have nothing but the best to say about my experience with him. Louay is not only very effective in transmitting his thorough knowledge of the Arabic language, history, and culture but he is also a kind, patient, and insightful teacher providing his student with just the right amount of challenge necessary to move him or her to the next level.
Shereeza H. from South Richmond Hill, NY Mr. K is an excellent and passionate Arabic teacher. That shows when he teaches the language. He is very knowledgeable about the Arabic culture and history that brought about this great language. His method of teaching is very effective because he breaks down each topic and explains it step by step using examples and homework questions. His homework is very structured and helps to strengthen your understanding of each topic. I am amazed at how fun and easy he makes learning this language to be.
