I studied jazz trumpet performance at Oberlin Conservatory (Bachelors, ‘02) and The Juilliard School (Masters ’17). I studied Mandarin Chinese at Oberlin College (Bachelors, ’02). I lived and worked in Shanghai, China, from 2003 to 2010. I’ve been teaching music and language lessons for over 15 years and love to help people grow.
Whether you are starting from scratch or have some experience, I can help you get to the next level by giving you specific, methodical steps to work on and practice. I do my best to give students just the right amount of material to practice and study between each lesson, so that they stay motivated while feeling the right level of challenge and consistent improvement.
