When you understand it, he will help you with practical usage of it (but he won't do it for you since he wants you to understand it). Whenever he would leave you with unsolved problems, he would be thinking about it on his free time and will e-mail you with solution, even after the tutoring lesson. He is worth recommending.

He is really clear with instructions, and will stop and take the time to make sure that you understand concepts before getting down to the quantitative side. We had a sessions on bond pricing, and going into the session it would be fair to say the material felt over my head, but after the session, I really got a good handle on the material. His method of instruction is also more then what I expected. He does not use skype, but the platform he uses allows for powerpoint sharing, voice, and video communication. Also, there is a separate whiteboard component where the mathematical work can be shared, so you are not just being told what to do but shown the steps as well. I would say that Dan is really good, and if I have to get another session, then I would have no problem choosing him again.
