For a long time I was hesitant about getting a tutor that I do not know. I took a chance with Wyzant and found Sara with an extensive background and experience. Complemented by my daughter's willingness to go through this, I was very happy to get this match going. I worked with Sara on exactly what I wanted my daughter to improve on. Sara was very responsive and accommodating. She set out a plan based on my stated goals. Not really knowing Sara and how this would go, I just went for one lesson. My daughter told me how great Sara was and how exciting that lesson was. That was exactly what I wanted to hear! So that first lesson was followed by a few more and I have seen and heard the marked improvement in my daughter's speech - pronunciation, diction, thoughtful sentences, and her conscious elimination of unnecessary crutch words (as in, "like", "i mean", "you know"). My daughter has described Sara as punctual, friendly, focused and engaged. My daughter still raves how good Sara was! Based on results, I agree. I was so happy with my daughter's improvement this summer vacation that I said Sara was heaven-sent! And my daughter agreed. Now that my daughter just went back to college, it is my hope that with Sara's caring and gentle push my daughter will make a conscious effort to continue to use those lessons through school and life. Sara, I know my daughter will love to connect with you again someday. And though I haven't met you personally all throughout these times, for now let me say that this summer was a wonderful and a very educational experience. I'm grateful to you beyond words.
