Melanie B. offers Geometry Lessons and Elementary (K-6th) Lessons

Howard H. from Bethesda, MD Melanie is terrific. She is tutoring my learning disabled son in math once or twice a week. She is remarkably diligent and patient. She works a significant amount of extra time in advance of the tutoring sessions in reviewing the assignments, and sometimes, following the tutoring sessions, in e-mailing with my son additional problems for him to work on and in answering questions that he has. My son likes her and works hard with her. Couldn't ask for more. I wrote the above paragraph after Melanie's first few sessions with my son. Now, several months have passed and the semester has ended, during which time Melanie continued to tutor my son twice a week. My son ended up getting a B in the class, which amazed and delighted us. My son needed to pass this class as a graduation requirement, and before the semester began, some folks at the school -- who were well-intentioned -- cautioned us that they didn't think he was likely to be able to pass the class. He would not have succeeded without Melanie. It bears repeating that we could not have asked for more.
