UCLA Biochemistry and Chemistry Tutor
My name is Gee T., and I have a great passion for teaching and tutoring, especially in biochemistry. I received my B.S. from UCLA with a major in biochemistry and have been tutoring for six years. Many of my students find my teaching style very effective and useful, because I am very patient and am always finding new ways to explain concepts in a way many people can understand. I enjoy writing notes out for my students as well as challenging them with problems aimed to focus on improving thei…
Testimonials
Nicole T. from Harbor City, CA Tri T. is an awesome tutor. My son really likes his style of teaching. He is very patient and detailed, and gave my son a lot of praise and encouragement throughout the session. I'm looking forward to continuing with Tri T.!
Brian G. from Culver City, CA I hired Tri T. for my gen chem class which is an accelerated course and I have never taken chemistry before, he was able to bring me up to speed and make me successful and more confident about a subject that was very difficult for me. I would highly recommend him, his tutoring style is very friendly.
David M. from Los Angeles, CA Biochem tutors don't get better than this guy. This was probably the best science tutorial I have ever had. Tri has a unique ability to explain complicated concepts to anyone. He is a great listener and easily adapts to the learning style of his individual students.
Tatiana G. from Glendale, CA Tri is an excellent tutor and he helped me to prepare for my tests for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UCLA. He knows how to prepare a student for the test and sometimes suggests what could be asked on the test as well. I recommend him to many students that are struggling! He is worth it! I will use his help again and again!
J P. from Los Angeles, CA I'm sharing this with parents and students who are looking for the right tutor with whom to invest their time, money and faith. When we first started working with Tri I didn't write this review because I didn't want him to get so busy he wouldn't have time for us anymore. (Sorry Tri, I know that sounds awful, but it's a backhanded compliment to how awesome you are!!) When I look for a tutor for my son I look for a balance of talent, experience, cost and willingness. Not many tutors have the willingness to come to our home and work with a home schooled student. From the very first lesson with Tri we knew we had gotten really lucky. Every tutor is great in their profile, but the real proof is when it's time for them to actually TEACH the subject they claim to be an expert in, and not just read a textbook or computer screen alongside the student. The field of truly excellent tutors narrows really quickly when they have to work with home schooled students. Tri is by far one of the best we have had the good fortune to work with. As an educator myself I have very little patience with mediocrity and excessive chattiness in tutors. Tri is the right balance of get down to business and friendship. My son knew Tri was in his corner every step of the way and they worked together really well. he gave my son confidence in a subject he hated, Chemistry, and thanks to his support and great teaching my son's grades soared!! I believe he went from an F to an A. My son doesn't have any subjects that require genius science tutoring next year, but if he did Tri would be the first person we would call.
STEVEN M. from Reseda, CA He was very helpful and encouraging through the sessions. Very enthusiastic and on top of his game when it comes to teaching and going over theory or practical problems from the book. It was a slow start for me at first but once we got a good rhythm going, I started understanding everything that I didn't understand before.
Fe N. from North Hollywood, CA Nice, young man. Very professional. Punctual. My son said that he is very knowledgeable and very good in explaining things so that it is easy for him to understand. A little too fast maybe, but, otherwise, a good tutor. My son also said that he is funny. He is easy to get along with.
Matt F. from Los Angeles, CA Tri was instrumental in helping me get the grades I wanted this summer. He helped me achieve an A in a genetics class at UCLA, which I was very proud of. We also worked on organic chemistry and life sciences, and I was impressed with how much easier those classes were with his help. He has all the skills you would want in a tutor, from a comprehensive understanding of the course material to being a good and patient teacher. He was also very available to help me whenever I needed help and was very flexible in scheduling. We met about once a week for a couple hours and that was enough time to make a significant difference. We became good friends because we worked very well together as a team and Tri was very personable. If you're looking for help with science classes I would look no further than Tri. He'll get you the results you are looking for and furthermore he's a good guy.
Yelena I. from Los Angeles, CA Tri is a very friendly, patient, knowledgeable tutor who tremendously helped my daughter understand chemistry, raise her grade, and score much higher on all of her chemistry exams. He is very helpful and made my daughter understand more than anyone else could have. I am so glad we found him and were able to use such a great resource!
Grace B. from Montebello, CA Tri was very accommodating. He met with us on short notice and during the holiday weekend. He is very knowledgeable and was able to impart the subject matter clearly. He made notes and drew visual aids, which enhanced his teaching abilities. We would highly recommend him as a tutor.
