Recognizing that our student knew the test material, yet wanted to further improve his score, he focused on teaching him a different approach to the test. He focused on showing him how to increase his pace through some portions of the exam (reading) and taking his time on others (math and science). By adjusting his pace throughout the exam, and practicing this strategy both during tutoring sessions as well as on his own, our student was able to increase his overall confidence in taking the test, as well as increasing the results significantly in EVERY category.
