Ossodongarti M. from Dallas, TX I was very pleased to have Thomas as tutor for my son. Thanks to his professionalism and patience, Thomas has helped my son regain confidence and overcome his shyness. I was very surprised by Thomas' talent and teaching methodology when he kindly allowed me to attend the first two lessons with my son. I have was amazed to see him use different ways to let my son reach out and ask questions, give his opinion on different topics. I would recommend him to any parent who is looking for a talented Tutor with a very rich and strong background. Thank you very much Thomas for your kindness, professionalism and I wish you all the best.

Matthew A. from Dallas, TX Very understanding, you can tell he has many years of experience in tutoring. He knows where to start in teaching me a new language and knows where to start again for a language I've been studying for years.

Joe A. from Plano, TX My husband and I just spent two weeks in Italy. Spending the time with Thomas to learn the basics of Italian was the best thing we did before leaving! It's true most people in the large cities speak English but in the smaller cities, not everyone does! We were able to say all the basics (hello, how are you, etc.) in Italian. For those Italians who spoke English you can just tell they appreciate the gesture of communicating what we could in Italian. For those times when there was no English, we were able to muddle our way through far better having spent time with Thomas than if we hadn't. If you are traveling to Italy (or need Spanish instead!), I would highly recommend contacting Thomas for classes. The workbook and CD we received were the perfect compliment to 'class time' too. Thomas is passionate about what he does and it comes through in his classes. He is very easy to work with too. It was a great experience and we couldn't have had a better teacher!

Rishma B. from Allen, TX My daughter is a Senior and was having a challenging time with AP Spanish IV. We were fortunate to find a tutor in Mr. R. Besides his tuition rate being quite reasonable, he is an extraordinarily talented linguist. His profile is there for us to read. But what struck me the most is that he is a Fulbright Fellow, and that too, a *double* Fulbright Fellow, being thus awarded both, by France and the United States! This is one of the most prestigious, difficult-to-get awards and only students of extraordinary merit and dedication earn them. This dedication readily exhibits itself in Mr. R's tutoring. He is a consummate master of Spanish teaching. He is also very patient, explains difficult vocabulary and grammar in a lucid manner and has a great sense of humor! Mr. R is simply a warm, wonderful person and a linguistic guru. My daughter and I are very glad to have met him.

John B. from Fort Worth, TX Thomas is a very good instructor and worked very hard to meet my requirements. I requested my classes to be completely in Spanish except to clarify words and concepts I am not familiar with, to assess my comprehension of conversational Spanish, to review an immediate need to ensure I can relate technical and business concepts appropriately in Spanish and to provide input on the most appropriate steps to become conversational in Spanish. Thomas exceeded my expectations in the first conversation. Thomas clearly has a deep understanding of Spanish and knows how to best relate business and technical concepts in Spanish for those students seeking to expand their business and technical language skill set. I highly recommend Thomas to anyone regardless of their language level.

Sam S. from Dallas, TX Tom has just begun to help my daughter with French 3. He has been so helpful and patient with her. What my daughter likes most is how engaging Tom is. His knowledge of the language, cultural and how he shares that keeps her interested in what she"s learning. He is always prepared. With Tom's help and guidance my daughter was able to bring her grade up and finish with an A. She is very pleased and will be continuing to use Tom's tutoring help throughout this year.

Hal H. from Irving, TX Lots of teachers can give you vocabulary and grammar. You don't even need a teacher for that -- you can find those in books. Thomas makes languages come alive, teaching what you need to (quickly) begin speaking -- but also providing insight into the culture of those who speak the language, the history behind those people, and how the language is really spoken. Someone who lacks that insight may give you the skeleton of a language but you won't know (and you won't know that you don't know) the fullness of a living language.

Brian W. from Dallas, TX Tom is one of those teachers that you just get excited being around - so knowledgeable, so energetic, and who can really teach because, as the saying goes and is so true, especially in his case: "he has been there and done that" with real world experience. The other thing that is great about him is that he is tailoring his instruction to my personal level and desires. Tom is the best!!!

Jessica N. from Lewisville, TX A few months ago I was plateauing in my language learning and half-heartedly searched for an Italian tutor. I stumbled on WyzAnt and Thomas' profile. Based on his reviews & credentials I knew I had found someone that could help me, but what I didn't know was how much fun I would have during our sessions. Thomas is brilliant; he knows so much about everything and I love coming to our sessions. Not only has he helped me with Italian but he's also taught me so much about the history of the language. He has a lot of experience in teaching language and knows how to curtail his lessons based on your current level and needs. I never worry about where we're going in our lessons, each week when I arrive he has a lesson planned. He's very energetic and enthusiastic during our lessons, he makes it fun and interesting. After Italian I'd love to study another language with him. He's one of those people you love being around, I could talk to him about anything and he'd be able to teach me something. Can't say enough great things about him and his tutoring. I'd go everyday if I could! Grazie Thomas!

Cynthia P. from Allen, TX Learning a language is not just learning the words. It must also be learning about the people with whom you wish to speak. I hadn't realized the importance of that until meeting with Thomas. I know I will achieve my goal with Thomas to help me.

Cindy S. from Dallas, TX Thomas is a wonderful tutor. I decided to try to learn to speak Spanish as an older adult. He goes slowly when I need it and gives very clear explanations. The materials he provides are interesting for adults so my enthusiasm continues. I am amazed that I am actually starting to speak Spanish in class! For anyone looking for a Spanish tutor, I highly recommend Thomas R.

Cathy C. from Dallas, TX I have enjoyed working with Tom for several years. He always amazes me with his knowledge of Spanish cultures worldwide and his many travel experiences. I particularly enjoy learning about various country's customs, facial expressions, and body language that make learning a language so much more interesting than doing it from a book or computer program. He knows how to pace the lessons based on the students ability and even speak faster or slower based on my comprehension. He is very patient me and always helps me learn how to say things better or find ways to remember the vocabulary. Since he knows several other languages as well and I have a history with French, he understands when I get mixed up with the French words or grammar. I really enjoy working with Tom and would recommend it for people wanting to learn Spanish at any level - beginner through advanced.

He is fun to be around, very well organized, and has a well structured class. He is very passionate about tutoring and has a wide knowledge of different languages and different accents. He also has many life experiences to share from the countries he has visited or worked in. Without any doubt, I will recommend Thomas.

Cara D. from Rowlett, TX We brought our 4 year old to Italian lessons with Thomas. He did a wonderful job preparing our son for Italian preschool for when we move overseas. Our son learned letters, numbers, colors, and conversation skills in fun and interactive ways. Even my husband was able to pick up a lot in a short period of time! Our son loved visiting with Thomas and would talk about him during the week. We highly recommend Thomas as an instructor and we will miss him while in Italy!

Laura D. from San Dimas, CA I am very pleased with the tutoring that Thomas has provided me in every lesson. He is patient, kind, fair, and very helpful. I really like how careful he is to make sure I understand not only the words we're speaking, but also how they are really used in the real world, and in what dialects. And, there is no breezing over the accent or colloquial language, which I believe are the most critical parts of communication. Furthermore, I speak another similar language that in the past has inhibited my ability to learn this new language. Thomas not only recognizes where I might get confused, he attacks the possible difficulties head-on. He speaks both languages and instead of my other knowledge getting in the way, Thomas has made it an asset. I feel lucky to have a tutor so knowledgeable in so many languages. I would highly recommend Thomas for learners who want an in-depth language learning experience.
