My name is JunZhao Deng, originally from Guangzhou, China. I am a classically trained pianist, with my bachelor’s degree in music education from Xinghai Conservatory of Music and my master’s degree in piano performance from Kent State University.
Over the past 10 years, I have taught private lessons to students of all ages and playing levels. Students who study with me can expect to gain a better understanding of music theory as well as technique. I strive to push my students to their maximum potential, and will encourage them to participate in concerts, competitions, etc.
In my career, I have performed in numerous competitions in China, such as the DeYiShuangQing Piano Competition, winning awards such as the Guangzhou Golden Award and Hong Kong International Piano Competition Frist Prize.
I am personally trained in classical music, but I have a great respect for all genres of music, and encourage my students to listen and play more than classical.
