Hello everyone!

I was born Deaf and grew up in Pasadena and Glendale, California. I attended hearing kindergarten and hearing elementary school. There was no interpreter and I had to rely on reading teachers’ lips! I grew up learning to speak with a private speech therapist twice a week and learning to read book stories and writing essays with a private reading teacher once a week. My mother taught me to read words/see pictures on flash cards and taught me math often at home.
