I have taught Lebanese and French for many years through Berliz language school. My training is mainly conversational and I don’t believe in translating from one language to another. Translating makes the student understand faster but forget the concept fast as well.
I use gestures, pictures, acting out, jumping if I have to, so the student understands what I am talking about. This is called the total immersion method.
