As a successful tutor I analyze each student’s needs and try to determine where they have run into trouble in their particular course. Sometimes I start from the beginning to make sure that they have not misunderstood any of the early material. Without a solid foundation one cannot proceed. For other students I can take them from the point at which they ran into problems and assist in them in moving beyond that point.
