Rebecca M. from Center Valley, PA We recruited Gopal to help my son prepare for the SAT II Physics test. Gopal took a great deal of time preparing for each tutoring session. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable in his tutoring. He wrote a detailed review after each session, which provided very good feedback for us. He ensured that my son understood fully all the concepts instead of just reviewing questions. He was patient and was genuinely interested in teaching my son. We recommend him highly to anyone seeking a tutor in physics or math, but are confident he would be a terrific tutor in other subjects as well.

Michael W. from Allentown, PA I cannot speak highly enough about Gopal. He is completely knowledgeable on the subject of SAT Math for which he tutored my H.S. senior. He communicated this knowledge in an effortless, patient and comprehendable manner, connecting well with my daughter until she understood the lesson. Gopal, to a lesser extent, also reviewed the other parts of the SAT, to coach my daughter about procedural efficiencies to help tweak her scores. I believe he could tutor effectively in any of the three SAT sections. Gopal is courteous, neat, timely, and easy to reach. I highly recommend him.

Peter B. from Ann Arbor, MI Gopal not only helped me learn the material but he really made sure I grasped the subject. I was really confused about several physics concepts but now feel confident in my ability to deal with them. I look forward to our next lesson.

Eric W. from Ann Arbor, MI Gopal is consistently attentive and knowledgeable. He clearly cares both about teaching and about mathematics and science. I was blown away by the level of detail in his work. He takes careful notes and prepares for every session. And he designs homework assignments just for us! I'm a relatively advanced student (preparing for a career in data analysis). Yet it didn't take long for us to find the right pace, given how patient and attentive Gopal is as a teacher. All in all, it's great to work with someone who is both a passionate teacher and a researcher in the field.

Cora L. from Northampton, MA Gopal responded promptly to my initial request for a GRE Math session and was open to my scheduling needs. He provided a space at UM to study, all the logistics were easy and pre-planned which was super helpful for me. Gopal planned out my course work through all of the basics of GRE math, each topic included a brief lesson, some practice, and homework. (This is great because many tutors expect you to plan out your work, which can be hard if you are not versed in the subject. Or, they rely on a book from Kaplan/PrincetonReview/Magoosh which aren't tailored to you). All of the practice involved in the lessons were processed out loud, so both of us could not only see how well I was learning the material, but my thought processes behind each problem. This seems like an essential approach if you are concerned with your timing on the GRE and your ability to do mental math. His lessons were on point and he approached teaching in a responsive manner. When I mentioned anecdotal small things that had hindered or helped my progress in the past, he actively incorporated this information about me into his teaching. This included helping me feel more confident in my abilities, as someone who is generally terrified of math. The result has been that I was able to relearn concepts I had previously never really understood -- basic equations and methods for approaching arithmetic that were missing from my grade-school to college experience. I also feel more confident and relaxed with my test date approaching. Definitely a great tutor.
