Learning and care-giving takes place in a safe, positive, multi-cultural, nurturing, learning environment. Activities are developmentally appropriate for the age and stage of development of the child while meeting the needs of the whole child. Knowing children learn and grow at different rates, children are treated respectfully as individuals with individual strengths and interests. Children flourish in an environment that is predictable, challenging and fun, so the routine of the day is critical. They learn what to expect and what is expected of them, building a circle of security. Our teachers are professionals and model respectful behaviors for the children, guiding children through problem solving steps, viewing each and every situation as a learning experience
