Northside School

The North Side School is an independent, NON-for profit school, specializing in education and childhood development. We are licensed by the New York City Department of Health and hold an Absolute Charter with the New York City Department of Education. The school’s success is credited to our staff’s efforts which are motivated by the belief that “every child’s individuality must be respected and nourished”. All staff members are New York State Certified Teachers and New York State Certified Teaching Assistants.

It is our belief that childhood is the most rapid period of development in a human life. Although individual children develop at their own pace, all children progress through an identifiable sequence of physical, cognitive, and emotional growth and change. The school’s approach is based on the proven fact that children respond best when we use concrete techniques designed to encourage and stimulate progress to the next level of development.
