In 1990 Tommy Tinkers was formed to provide
high quality child care in a safe and secure
environment. Founded by Diane C. Wilson
Tommy Tinkers began as a licensed family
daycare in the Wilson house in Kennett Square.
Shortly after opening the family daycare
practice was expanded into a family group
home. In 1992 Tommy Tinkers its program and
staff were nationally recognized and accredited
by the National Association of Child Care
Providers. In 1993 Tommy Tinkers expanded to
include a second site at 976 West Baltimore
Pike Kennett Square PA. This site operated
for four years as a licensed day care center. In
1996 Tommy Tinkers offered a preschool
program at yet a third site in the Kennett
Square area.

In 1995 plans were initiated to construct a new
state of the art day care center on the
Ciorrocco family property. The center would
house all daycare and preschool activities under
one roof in a secure environment. This building
was completed in December of 1996. In January
of 1997 all three of the original locations were
combined at the new facility on 279 Chambers
Road Toughkenamon PA. This facility is
currently licensed for 195 students.

In May 2004 construction began on a second location in Oxford PA. The building was designed
to meet the needs of parents and children alike. The facility includes large airy classrooms
secure entry doors observation mirrors and video surveillance. The facility opened in
December of 2004 with a licensed capacity of 136 students.

Tommy Tinkers Inc. is dedicated to providing high quality child care in a safe and secure
environment. Our program is focused on the social and emotional development of children. We
have always prided ourselves in operating licensed facilities in full compliance with all
government rules and regulations. It is our intention to continue to provide this same high
quality child care consistent with current developmental philosophy into the future. We are
an approved CCIS facility.
