St. Johns Grandkids

GrandKids and V.I.K Club is the only state-licensed intergenerational day care center in Brown County. The program has been recognized nationally as a leader in this specialized type of care. Research has shown that children enrolled in intergenerational programs have advanced social skills compared to children in traditional day care. They learn to be comfortable around older adults and people of varying abilities. Elders involved in intergenerational activities report feeling happy, loved, interested, younger, and needed. Its a win-win situation!

What does intergenerational care look like? Each day children in our care interact with the residents of St. Johns Circle of Care. Routine activities include reading stories, singing songs, creating crafts, and eating together. Special events like building bird houses, indoor beach parties, tea parties, Mexican fiestas, and the annual Christmas program bring extra joy to residents and children alike.

At GrandKids and V.I.K. Club we focus on the whole child. We want to help your child grow intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually into a well-rounded member of our community.
