Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran School is part of the Wisconsin Lutheran Synod School system. The kindergarten was established in October of 1994 by Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and had expanded through third grade as of the 1999 – 2000 school year. The school added grades 4 – 8 in the fall of
2000. The responsibility for programming and maintenance belongs to the congregation. The direct responsibility for the supervision and direction of the school rests upon the Christian Education Committee.
The school is located in the Educational Building of Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 427 W. Mulberry St., St. Peter, MN.
The principal is James Bakken. Grades K-
2 are taught by Donna Thompson. Debra Bakken and Jeanette Hewitt teach grades 3-5 and grades 6-8 are taught by Linda Degner

The purpose of Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran School is to assist parents in bringing up their children in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 states, Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. We also are interested in learning more about Jesus and the way of salvation.
We not only provide education of mind and body as required by the state of Minnesota, but our school provides education for our childrens mind, body, and soul to live eternally.
The schools goals are to nurture children
in their faith and Christian living through the
Word of God. We proclaim both law and gospel, thus leading students to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for life and salvation. Our goal also is to equip students to share the gospel with others.
