Childgarden’s Early Education Program uses the Creative Curriculum, which employs a “Hands on, Minds on” approach to learning. This curriculum was designed to provide individualized, developmentally appropriate, and stimultating activities. This allows children to learn on their own pace, doing activities that interest and excite them. This curriculum is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and is consistent with Head Start, Missouri, and NAEYC Accreditation standards. Each Pre-school classroom is lead by a Bachelor or Associate Degreed teacher. Each infant and toddler classroom is lead by a teacher with a CDA or Associate Degree.
Childgarden’s Early Intervention allows therapists to work with parents, teachers, and other caregivers during the course of the child’s day to integrate therapy into the child’s daily routine. Therapy may take place at the family’s home, at the Center, and in various community settings. Routine Based Intervention allows therapists to work as a partner with the caregiver to identify the challenges the family’s face, as well as the family’s strengths and existing supports. In Addition, it allows the entire team to build therapy activities that can easily be carried out each day by parents and teacher in the absense of the therapist. This gives the child more oppurtunitities to practice new skills and help parents and teachers build their confidence in supporting the child. This helps to reduce stress and creates greater oppurtunities for success.
