St. James Catholic Preschool

Our goal at St. James Catholic Preschool is to provide opportunities for each child to grow socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally, and creatively. We strive to create a warm and loving environment where children can learn about themselves, gain an understanding of others and develop their self-esteem. Each child is treated with acceptance, encouragement, and respect for his or her individuality. Our hope is that each child will feel succesSFul, develop the ability to think creatively, make decisions, solve problems, and interact with his/her peers in positive ways.

Each class at St. James Catholic Preschool offers varied activities in art, language, music, movement, science, outdoor play and cooking.

Our teachers will provide lesson plans developed around themes or special topics of interest for a particular age group.

All of our activities are selected on the basis of providing sensory experiences, social experiences, and mental stimulation.

The children will attend chapel once a week. This will provide an opportunity to share basic Catholic Christian concepts through age-appropriate songs, prayers, and stories.
