Preschool in Pullman, WA 99163
Our goal is to prepare an individual learning experience for each child. Our environment creates an atmosphere where children love to learn. The Montessori School of Pullman was established as a non-profit corporation in 1968. It is conveniently located in Gladish Community Center and is open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily. We accept children 2 years-9 months to six years of age. The ideal age for most children to start Montessori is 3 years old. Children must be toilet trained.
We will try to accommodate your childs school hours to fit your schedule. All classes are multi-aged and equipped for children from 3 to 6 years of age.
Because our program builds from one learning experience to the next, children benefit most by attending Montessori for at least two, preferably three, years. Children may continue Montessori through their kindergarten year and then attend public school first grade. Children may also attend Montessori and public kindergarten in the same day.
Our teachers are highly-experienced, certified Montessori instructors with BA or MA degrees. We have French instruction three days a week, and music and rhythm activities every week with experienced, certified teachers.
Our children come with varied backgrounds and abilities. Tuition-reduction scholarships are given based on need, and school employment is often available. We strive to make Montessori affordable to every family. Montessori is an equal opportunity program and no student shall be excluded on account of race, color, creed, religion, national origin or disability. Montessori promotes a global perspective and welcomes children who are learning English. We also accept DSMS payments.
Enrollment is a commitment for a full school year, mid-August through the end of May. No refunds are made for missed days, illness, or withdrawal after March. A 30-day notice is required for withdrawal refund before March. Our school is a non-profit organization governed by a parent committee. The school depends on the active support of all parents who share their talents and abilities to keep the tuition costs down and to make the school the best it can be.
