The Maddux School strives to enhance each students academic, social skill and communicative competence. Self-esteem and self-confidence development are always prioritized. Cognitively challenging, developmentally-appropriate and intrinsically reinforcing activities motivate children in pre-school through second grade half and full-day classes. Art, music, physical education, library read-aloud periods and yoga complement classroom instruction. Other special programs at Maddux include a Girls Group and after-school soccer.
Talented and enthusiastic teaching and therapist staff work in transdisciplinary teams to support each youngsters individual learning style. Strengths are complimented and needs are identified and addressed in small-group and full-classroom settings. Innovative, individualized programming reflects a range of methodologies and highly trained, empathic staff members foster a uniquely positive and nurturing atmosphere at The Maddux School.
