Each Plano ISD senior high school has a tuition-supported Early Learning Center Preschool that is designed to provide an enriching experience for 3 4 and 5 year old children. The preschool is a laboratory school for the senior high school Early Childhood Professions classes emphasizing the growth and development of the whole child; that is social emotional physical and cognitive development.

Each center is directed by a degreed teacher who plans and provides meaningful and relevant educational activities to support learning and development during these formative years. Students enrolled in the senior high school course Early Childhood Professions work under the supervision of the director to give the children the encouragement and attention needed to nurture their development. The children learn through activities appropriate to the childs age and development such as block building painting reading stories art and dramatic play. The children are encouraged to be independent self confident and inquisitive about the world around them.
