Little Learners offers a new and innovative learning experience for all children. At Little Learners we believe that information must be learned in a meaningful context to enable full understanding by a young child. Our centers provide quality care planned activities experience and a base for children to broaden their horizons.
Just because your children are little doesn’t mean they are too young to be a LITTLE LEARNER. Studies show that the early years are the most important ones for molding a child’s learning potential and skills. Starting a child with a positive learning experience will shape their outlook on their future school years.
Starting as an infant a child learns about their surroundings through sight touch and feel. At Little Learners our experienced staff works on hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills in a stimulated and calm environment with love caring and kindness. We will give them a glimpse at the new world around them through physical intellectual emotional and social experiences all designed to help them enjoy their future learning experiences.
What do we know about two year olds? Two year olds owned the reputation of the “terrible two’s” because they get around fast and insist on doing things their own way. They are curious and must learn to develop social and thinking skills. Two’s must learn how to get along with others and to begin to learn to care for themselves. At Little Learners we encourage two year olds as well as all age groups to expand his or her interests. Two’s need loving caregivers – teachers with a “comfortable lap”. At our centers we will provide your child with a warm extension of home. We offer all children a safe healthy and happy environment. We provide all children with an abundance of opportunities to explore create and learn with lots of love and attention. Books toys arts and crafts motor skills communication skills cognitive skills and personal – social skills are all part of early childhood development.
Pre-school and Pre-Kindergarten at Little Learners is a time when children are getting ready for school. Through our expanded curriculum your child will learn about books stories letters numbers colors and shapes which are all an important part of reading and writing. They will also learn basic math concepts playing together and sharing. They will develop social skills through painting singing and pretending. All of our activities are designed to be fun so that our children do not just learn they have fun while learning. If a child is having fun then they do not feel so overwhelmed doing and learning something new.
Every step in your child’s life is a milestone. Kindergarten children benefit most from experimentation with a wide variety of materials textures colors shapes and tools. When they are presented with media to which they can respond we will help them work their way through their developmental stage of learning. We recognize that kindergarten children need opportunities to develop physical language social and emotional skills. When learning is enjoyed comprehension is improved motivation is challenged and learning is achieved. Children learn in a meaningful environment where there is a planned curriculum of activities which allows children to develop at their own level.
