The Pemberton Township Schools Early Childhood program follows the High/Scope Educational approach to preschool learning. The High/Scope program is based on active participatory learning. Children and adults learn best through hands-on experiences with people, materials, events and ideas. That principle – validated by decades of research – is the basis of High/Scope’s approach to teaching and learning.

Pemberton Township Schools is proud to offer every three and four year old child in Pemberton Township a free, quality, full-day preschool program. This popular program provides children with a full day of fun and education by addressing the needs of the whole child.

Research has shown that children who participate in an early childhood education program build a life-long love of learning. In addition, studies show preschool participants perform better on standardized testing, achieve more economic success in life and have less social issues, such as involvement in substance abuse or gangs. The early childhood program at Pemberton Township Schools starts children off on the right foot, providing the skills necessary to succeed, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
