Preschool at the YMCA is a perfect option for parents who want to help their children develop critical early learning skills in a Christian environment. The YMCA believes that a quality program should provide enriching experiences which facilitate a childs cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. We strive to meet the developmental needs and temperament of each individual child by working in partnership with families. YMCA Early Child Development programs provide a nurturing environment where childrens natural curiosity is a springboard to learning skills that are necessary for success in school. Children learn how to share, take turns and work in groups. They also develop age-appropriate skills that form the foundation for reading, writing and mathematics.
The YMCA after school program provides transportation from all schools except: Whitesville & West Louisville. During the afternoon children will be given the opportunity to participate in devotions, games, field trips, homework, sports, fitness classes, and independent activities. An afternoon snack is provided along with a character development lesson. We hope that your child will learn to socialize with other children while enjoying safe, fun, and affordable childcare in a Christian environment.
