Old Mission Montessori School operates according to the principles of the Montessori Method of Education. It emphasizes the innate potential of the child and his/her ability to develop in environmental conditions of freedom and love. The Montessori philosophy postulates the importance of a positive self-image and independence in learning.

The Montessori curriculum places no restraints on the students ability and provides manual and physical activity for all aspects of learning. Through the use of concrete and abstract experiences the child achieves mastery of self and the childs environment.
