Preschool in New York, NY 10003
Open to children 2.4 to 5 years of age the 14th Street Y Preschool (formerly known as Gani) stimulates and supports children’s natural curiosity about the world in which they live and play. Guided by the firm belief that “play is a child’s work” we have filled our sunny spacious classrooms with the rich and varied materials children need to do their daily jobs.
As part of the newly renovated 14th Street Y our school offers a unique array of educational environments in which children can question problem solve create and grow. Our students explore and experiment in the art science and dramatic play centers that comprise each classroom.
We are distinguished from other New York City preschools by providing continuity and depth of care from birth through early childhood within the 14th Street Y’s Parenting Family and Early Childhood Center.
