Adventure Island Christian Preschool

The educational philosophy for AICP is based on a God-centered view that all truth is Gods truth, and the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible authoritative Word of God containing the truth. With this truth, we believe the best Preschool experience comes from providing opportunities for learning and growth through development, age-appropriate exploration, discovery, and hands-on experiences within a caring, fun, safe, Christ-centered setting.

We believe God created each child unique and special with its own method of learning. We believe in providing a positive environment with a variety of learning styles where children thrive in becoming a self-sufficient individual. We believe in a positive behavioral approach to build a childs understanding of their good choices.

We integrate age-appropriate Biblical principles and practices into every aspect of the day and use the Bible as our guidebook for everyday living. Our monthly themes provide the foundational learning needed to prepare a child for elementary school as well Bible-based building blocks of learning for a childs spiritual growth.

We believe our Bible-based curriculum is interwoven with our thematic program and provides experiences through prayer, monthly Christian character emphasis, Christian music, songs, finger plays, dramatic play, discovery centers, Bible stories, Bible verses, life application stories, Christian values and Biblical principles that young children can understand and grow. We believe and bear witness that children have an opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, cognitively, creatively, and physically.

Our Christian Philosophy
The Christian philosophy for AICP is based on the premise that parents are the primary teachers of their children. Our intent is to come alongside parents in the educational and spiritual nurture of a child. We assist in teaching their children the truths of God, love for mankind, along with Godly characteristics that will be necessary to equip them for life. We believe we are team partners working together in helping a child develop his or her full potential in the Preschool years. We do this by:

1. We introduce Gods plan and the love of Jesus for the children, encouraging His core values and character into their lives. (Jeremiah 29:11) 2. We provide opportunities and resources to help parents know a childs development and promote parenting skills. (Genesis 18:19) 3. We provide children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children can thrive in their learning. (Isaiah 54:13). 4. We provide opportunities for each child to build self-worth and confidence as they will have successes and failures in the learning process. (Joshua 1:9) 5. We communicate family life values and the unique design of each child. (Ephesians 5:21, 6:4)
