The Step By Step Christian Preschool, formerly First Presbyterian Church Nursery School of Moorestown, was established in 1964 and is licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Human Services, Division of Youth and Family Services therefore complying with all of the standards put forth by that Department. The schools operation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of the Preschool Director, the Director of Childrens Ministries, the Associate Pastor for Families, a teacher representative, a parent representative, and members of various church governing bodies.

The Step By Step Christian Preschool is a ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown open to the members and friends of this church and residents of the surrounding communities. Here children are with their appropriate age group in a well-rounded program aimed at teaching the whole child and meeting each childs educational, spiritual, social, physical and emotional needs.
To reinforce the spiritual emphasis of a Christian Preschool, a Bible-Based Curriculum is woven into the units of study. Also, the children participate in a monthly non-denominational worship time under the supervision of the Director of Childrens Ministries.
