At Cambridge Childrens Academy, we believe there are seven key components of our program that create the bridge each child needs to successfully develop socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.
These components are Children, Environment, Parents, Teachers, Administration, Community and Curriculum:
Children
Children are our first priority. By developing a solid foundation, based on a positive self-image and the opportunity to grow and develop to their fullest potential, young children will be prepared for their future.
We believe:
Learning to interact positively with others develops social skills, cooperation and self-control. Children learn best by doing. They are active participants in a nurturing environment created to encourage individual strengths and interests.Environment
A welcoming environment provides reassurance to parents that their child will look forward to arriving each day. The centers overall design provides a balance of focused learning, free play, creativity, and quiet reflection.
We believe:
Maintaining a bright, cheerful, safe and clean environment is essential to a quality program. Children need frequent opportunities to explore the outdoors in a setting designed for discovery through play.Parents
Developing partnerships with parents is essential to the success of our program. Communication is the most important element needed to establish a mutual trust and respect of the values, expectations and cultural background of each family.
We believe:
Parents are a childs first teacher and their guidance is needed when creating developmental goals for the children. Parents always have the opportunity to share in their childrens achievements.Teachers
Our credentialed teachers are knowledgeable in the developmental skills of each age group. Teachers are required to continue their ongoing professional training to maintain certification. We encourage them to keep abreast of developments in the field of early childhood education.
We believe:
The teachers role is to enhance the childrens learning experiences by engaging with them in activities, chosen to fit their level of development. All staff will be held to the highest standards, including a professional code of ethics.Administration
Our management teams knowledge, experience and professionalism create an enjoyable work and learning environment. Were dedicated to ensuring your child and our teachers experiences are positive and rewarding.
We believe:
