Second Step Child Care Center is a family owned and operated child care service. We provide a full time group care to children from 1 month through five years of age. The overall goal of the program is enhancement of the childs emotional social and cognitive development. Childrens learning experiences are planned to occur through play activities and planned educational activities. Children and teachers select activities for participation from a variety of available planned experiences some of which are child initiated and some of which are teacher initiated. The Second Step Center program is based on a cognitive philosophy.
The Center staff possesses a high level of expertise and training. Teachers observe and plan for developmentally appropriate experiences for the child within a group setting. Second Step L.L.C is in compliance with the Texas Department of Human Protective and Regulatory Service teacher to child ratios.
