The Waldorf School of Louisville is an independent, private school that offers a developmentally appropriate, experiential approach to education. We integrate the arts and academics for children from preschool through grade 5/6. The aim of the education is to inspire life-long learning in all students and enable them to fully develop their capacities.
Since the Waldorf School of Louisville opened its doors in 1993, our enrollment has continued to grow. We have grades 1-5/6, a mixed aged kindergarten for children 3&1/2 6 years old, a pre-k program for children 2&1/2-3&1/2 years, and a parent-child program for expectant parents and families with children from birth through 3 years old. Our wooded play yards provide safe and ample space for creative play and for exploring the natural sciences, while warm and beautiful classrooms encourage a sense of beauty in harmony with the natural surroundings.
