In part, the philosophy of The Jesus School embodies the belief that:
The child does experience God. The experience of God is natural to a child and touches his/her total being. The child, as a human being, is not fully developing unless his religious potential is stimulated and growing. The language of the Judeo-Christian tradition provides a means to describe, evoke and express the child’s experience of God. The child is endowed with a unique sense of God and, when properly directed will recognize him as father, brother and friend. In a loving and trusting environment, the child will become comfortable with God and will be more disposed to develop positive relationships with others. Once the child has entered into a personal relationship with God, she will tend to experience this joy through a lifetime.
