Preschool in King Of Prussia, PA 19406
The mission of the Margaret George School is to provide love and respect in a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to reach their potential in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical and intellectual. Each child is an individual with inestimable worth, both as an individual and as a member of society.
Following the guidelines set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, we apply the knowledge of child development to our curriculum and policies to ensure that programs are developmentally appropriate for each age group and each individual child. Our teachers prepare environments so that children may learn through active exploration and interaction with adults, other children and materials.
Children are treated with respect. Our staff responds quickly and directly to children’s needs, desires, and messages, adapting their responses to each child’s differing style and abilities. Whenever possible, children are given choices fostering development of self-control. Our staff facilitates the development of self-esteem by respecting, accepting, and comforting children regardless of their behavior. Conflicts are resolved respectfully, taking into account each child’s needs at the time. Our staff follows the guidelines developed by Rudolf Dreikurs in his books. Children, the Challenge (with Vicki Stolz, R.N.) and Discipline Without Tears (with Paul Cassel)
A Keystone STAR Center for over 11 years, we continue to provide this quality early learning program to prepare children for success in school and life.
