Here at Sand Hills Preschool, we believe that children learn in many ways, in both structured activities and through play. Our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children. It provides experiences that enrich and enhance each childs cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and creative development. Within each classrooms daily schedule, each child has opportunities to create, to explore the environment, to learn problem-solving and personal interaction skills and to learn concepts in a hands-on environment. It is our belief that children learn best through a balance of self and teacher-directed activities. Opportunities for solitary play as well as group activities are provided. Through a loving and nurturing environment, our goal is to help each child gain confidence in his or her own ability and to learn how to build positive relationships with other children and adults. We believe that parents are the primary and most important provider of care and nurturing. We believe parents and teachers are partners in each childs care and education.
