Huntington Head Start

Community & Family Services (CFS) Head Start in Portland Indiana is a federaly funded program for preschool age children from low-income families. CFS Head Start provide free preschool in Adams Blackford Huntington Jay Randolph and Well counties. Children who attend Head Start participate in a variety of educational activities. Head Start helps children and their families succeed. Services are offered to meet the needs of all children including those with disabilities. Children in CFS Head Start are between the ages of three and five years old.

Head Start provides children with activities that help them grow cognitively socially emotionally and physically. Through research-based curriculums CFS Head Start students tackle academics in ways that are engaging meaningful and adaptable to a variety of learning styles.
