Welcome to the Greenwich Public School Integrated Preschool Program application process. Allapplications for a placement in the preschool including the 4 classes at Hamilton Avenue and the6 classes currently at either Cos Cob, New Lebanon, North Street, Parkway, or Old GreenwichSchool should be sent to the GPS Preschool Program Office at the Milbank Building, 180East Elm Street.

The Preschool Programs curriculum design is based on the Connecticut Preschool CurriculumFramework Performance Standards and Connecticut Preschool State Standards. The ConnecticutFramework is organized into four developmental domains Personal and Social, Physical, Cognitive andCreative Expression/Aesthetic Development.The Everyday Math Curriculum (Pre-K component), implemented District wide, supports meeting thePreschool curriculum goals/objectives. This curriculum provides daily activities that are designed aroundeight mathematical content strands numeration, data, geometry, operations, patterns and functions,money, clocks and calendars and measurement.The Preschool Program emphasizes the development of language and literacy in young children. TheConnecticut Standards for Preschool Literacy are referenced and GPS curriculum materials are utilized(Hampton Brown Phonics/Phonemic Awareness Program) to support meeting the Preschool curriculumgoals and objectives in literacy and language.
