Our Redeemer Lutheran School located just across from NorthPark Mall has a tradition of excellence providing high quality education in a loving Christ-based environment for over 50 years. A low student-teacher ratio allows our experienced teachers to give the personal attention every child needs to achieve. ORLS programs include PK 2 through 6th grade.
Our Preschool is centered in play-based learning. Children love learning in the garden, through music and movement, and by using their imaginations in centers! Manipulatives are used to enhance math skills as well as fine motor. Early literacy is enhanced by daily story times and visits to our own library!
Our Redeemer is proud of its diverse student population welcoming children of
all races nationalities and denominations. Tuition at ORLS is affordable due in part to the financial support of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
ORLS elementary students traditionally score above grade level on nationally normed tests.
Curriculum standouts include the Accelerated Reader program and Move Ahead
Saxon Math which enable and encourage accelerated academic growth in our students.
In addition to the challenging yet age appropriate core subjects our enrichment includes outstanding Spanish computer religion art and music classes. Interscholastic athletics are offered in soccer basketball and volleyball. The school has a full sized gymnasium playground and large green playing fields. Students are also encouraged to participate in Academic Fairs and Scholar Bowl competitions. There is an upper and a lower school choir band program and a bell choir open to older students. As part of Our Redeemers commitment to the Fine Arts musicals are mounted twice yearly alternating sacred and secular themes.

Preschool Philosophy: We believe that each child is unique and born with an individual growth pattern that differs from all other children. Therefore we will provide a stimulating and comfortable envireonment in which the child can explore and discover at an individual rate of development. We believe that developing a postitive self concept is vital for success; therefore, we will provide each child materrials and guidance at the individual level where successful experience can be achieved. We believe that a child’s work is his play, and that young children learn best through multi-sensory activities and manipulative materials. Therefore, each child will be provided with creative learning materials such as puzzles, blocks and games, all of which have a meaningful purpose.
