Mcgill Child Development Center

On May 7, 1970, McGill Avenue Baptist Church launched a Christian ministry that would
provide a wholesome and much needed service to the children and families in our community. At that time we provided care for ages two through five. After reviewing the needs in our community, our waiting list and the many working parents in our area, we then decided to build a new facility which would service our area better and offer a wider range of ages.

On August 28, 1997, we opened our new McGill Child Development Center on
George W. Liles Parkway. We were the first building in this newly developed area.
Within three months of operation at our new facility, we had reached our capacity
caring for 200 children and employing approximately 32 qualified staff members.

Goals & Attributes!

The most important goal of the child care curriculum we provide is to help children become independent, self confident and enthusiastic learners. Our program is designed to promote each childs cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth that is developmentally appropriate. The activities we plan are designed to accomplish these goals and help your child be successful in their future school-age years.

At McGill Child Development Center we have an open door policy that encourages family involvement. Communication between parents and teachers is very important to us.
A monthly newsletter is created to keep you up to date on what is happening at McGill CDC.
