The Country School House is a privately operated day care, licensed by the State, County fire department, and the Fairfax County board of Health. The Country School House is open to all children ages infant through twelve without regard to origin or religious affiliation. The Country School House provides parents with quality care for their child in a creative learning environment. Nutritious snacks and lunches (prepared in accordance with Federal guidelines for children) are served daily.
The Country School House offers your child an opportunity for learning through his/her own experimentation and the use of carefully designed materials in a comfortable setting. Dedicated staff will stimulate and challenge your child in a variety of activities appropriate to his/her developmental level building self-esteem and self-confidence for the years to come. The Country School House invites parents to visit at any time and encourages them to work closely with us in helping each child develop to his/her fullest potential during these formative years.
Parents are the most significant adults in a child’s life. We strive to create mutual respect between parents and teachers-a partnership for the benefit of the child. We encourage daily communication between parents and center staff, and provide reports on your child’s progress.

The Country School House is a Childcare, Daycare, Preschool, and School-age facility all combined into one. Our center provides developmental programs for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old.
We offer bright and clean classrooms that are warm and inviting to children and a carefully planned curriculum where play takes precedence and learning opportunities are presented throughout our day. Preschool activities, developmentally appropriate materials, field trips, and a literacy-rich environment enhance our child care program, creating a positive and educational experience for your young child.
The Country School House offers Preschool Classes for children 2 years to 5 years of age. Our preschool curriculum is theme based, with an emphasis on play based learning. We focus on social relationships, language skills, problem solving, fine and gross motor development, self-help skills, and music and movement. In addition, we incorporate activities that promote letter, number, shape, and color recognition. Character Education is also an integral component to our program. We work to instill values with each child such as respect, caring, patience, politeness, cooperation, and forgiveness.
