By providing consistent, loving care for children, moms are able to enter the work force free of concern for the safety of their children and provide financially for their families, knowing that their little ones are safe and learning about Christ in a Christian environment. Our partnership within the community consists of making the community aware of the services we provide through direct interaction in the city schools, local small grocery stores and the welfare department. The Family Worker keeps up-to-date on available resources and acts as a liaison for Center families.
Children are taught at an early age to sing, pray, listen to Bible stories and learn of Gods love. They in turn take the message home and share it through story and song. Our staff are committed Christians and in their contact with the parents are a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ. They promote evangelism as they share what the children have been learning about God.
We aim to provide a safe, structured environment that is a positive alternative to the negative influences on the city streets during the late afternoon hours. The program is designed to be well-rounded, addressing the spiritual, mental and physical needs of the child. Program goals are that the children will 1) come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, 2) improve academic performance, 3) develop positive social skills and moral understanding and 4) develop physically as they participate in familiar recreational activities and are introduced to new recreational activities.
