The purpose of Friends of Crown Heights Educational Centers is to operate and maintain a program for children and parents. Our ultimate goal is to offer a program of daily activities designed to enhance the physical emotional social and intellectual well being of the children entrusted to our care. To this end we embrace whole heatedly the ideology that:
All children should be supported in developing their full potential.

Parents should be respected as the childs first and most important teachers. It takes a community to successfully raise a child. All members of the organization should work together to achieve a shared purpose.

Friends of Crown Heights Educational Center offers a program of daily activities designed to enhance the physical emotional social cultural and intellectual well-being of the children. All members of this organization board staff parents and children work together to achieve our shared purpose. We try to attain an excellent program with the following goals:

Active participation of parents in their childs school experience Development of the childs individuality and self-confidence and independence. Fostering in children a respect and appreciation for their own culture as well as others. Development of attitudes of inquiry discovery problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Development of cognitive skills and concepts in children. Identification and utilization of community resources to enhance the lives of children and

families.

Fosteing of team work among members of the board staff and parents.
