The Learning Experience

Blackwood, New Jersey is the location of a beautiful, new, state of the art, child centered-facility with state-of-the-art security features. We are open 6:30am-6:30pm, 5 days a week. We are conveniently located in close proximity to the bridge for those commuting into Philly, in a residential area directly across from Valley Brook that overlooks a beautiful water fountain and golf course just minutes from Route 42 and the Blackhorse Pike.

The walls in the lobby and classrooms are covered with colorful artwork created by the students. Bulletin boards are creative and aligned with our monthly themes. Our curriculum is dynamic and challenges the students in all content areas. Students can begin as early as 6 weeks in our Infant Classroom and gradually move classes until they reach our Preschool Program. Classes are based on age and development readiness.

Students are taught reading readiness skills through our exciting reading program called Fun with Phonics. The program includes a workbook, hands-on activities, little readers, finger puppets and phonics CD that the students can sing along with. Computers are introduced in Prepper (age 2 to 3 ) classrooms and students enjoy using them at their stations or during a whole class activity. Students also have the opportunity to imagine and role play in Make Believe Boulevard, an indoor play area with a slide, ball pit, dress up clothes and stores. Outdoor play is also a daily part of the children’s day. We have two outdoor play areas, designed for age appropriate equipment and security. All students take advantage of our six rotating enrichment programs throughout the school year, Suddenly Science, Marvelous Math, Talent Sprouts, Music 4 Me, Dancing Feet, Movin’N Groovin’ and Start to Art. Through these programs, students are introduced to a variety of disciplines geared to their development and interest.

Summer camp takes place during the hot months of July and August. Each week has its own theme accompanied by shows, crafts, and wacky water play. Students will enjoy a change of pace from the school year, and embark on new discoveries and adventures as a camper here at The Learning Experience.

We encourage you to come in for a tour so you can visit our facility and experience all the learning, fun and creative activities that take place each day here at the Learning Experience!
